The individual listed building from 1535 was gutted down to its foundations and completely rebuilt in 2016. On the ground floor there is an apartment of around 82 m², and on the first floor a large two-level apartment of approximately 166 m².

The reconstruction was carried out in consultation with the BlfD, and all windows and entrance doors were custom-made wooden windows (double-glazed). The roof was built with 140 mm wood fiber insulation boards and covered with a beaver-tail tile design. The electrical and sanitary installations were completely renewed, and the interior and exterior walls were plastered. Each unit has its own gas heating system with an independent gas tank. On the ground floor, underfloor heating is installed, while in the attic radiators and convectors have been fitted.

The sandstone cellar vault has its own entrance and was completely sandblasted and re-pointed, with the stone slabs removed and re-laid evenly. A restroom area (men’s and women’s toilets) has been prepared, and provisions were made for a storage room and kitchen area for potential gastronomic use. This area is not yet fully completed and can still be freely designed.

Hallstadt is located in the immediate vicinity of Bamberg. The building on Bahnhofstraße is situated in the center of Hallstadt. Daily errands can be managed on foot or by using the Bamberg city bus. Doctors, schools, kindergartens, and shops are all within a five-minute walk. Despite the central location, the proximity to the rural, natural surroundings is intact.

Even though the building is a listed property, it has been fitted with high-quality features. For example, the ground floor features underfloor heating and fine porcelain stoneware tiles, while the first floor has strip parquet flooring. Both apartments come with newly installed fitted kitchens. LED recessed spotlights have been installed in the ceilings (ground floor) and along the knee wall (first floor).
