The Free State of Saxony is located in the eastern part of the Federal Republic of Germany. About 85 km from the state capital, Dresden, lies the third-largest city in the region: Chemnitz. With 250,000 inhabitants and an area of approximately 221.03 km², Chemnitz is one of the most significant economic regions in the new federal states.
Approximately 23.9 km away – about a 25-minute drive – is the town of Frankenberg, in the district of Mittelsachsen, situated within the Saxon granodiorite mountains in the Ore Mountain foreland in the Zschopau valley, surrounded by numerous mixed forests such as Lützeltal, Striegistal, or Buchenwald.
West of the town’s outskirts flows the Zschopau, and the Mühlbach runs through the district of the same name as well as through the town center.
Frankenberg gained significant economic importance through the cigar-making trade and the automotive industry, particularly with Marko Framo (Frankenberg Engine Works), which produced engines there between 1923 and 1933.
The town’s landmark is the Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. Aegidien, with its accompanying church tower visible even from the highway. The lower part of the tower was built in 1499 and has been preserved to this day. The largest green space near the town center is the Friedenspark, which was created from a decommissioned cemetery around 1890/1891.
Approximately 4 kilometers from the town center is the municipality of Dittersbach, which, together with its district Neudörfchen, forms the Frankenberg district of Dittersbach. The Lützelbach flows through the town and, south of Sachsenburg, empties into the Zschopau.
To the north of Dittersbach run Federal Road 169 and Federal Motorway 4, both of which can be reached in just a few minutes by car, providing excellent transport connections to the surrounding cities.
The bright and quiet penthouse apartment impresses not only with its practical, well-conceived layout but also with its immediate comfort: a timeless fitted kitchen (EBK) is already installed, making the move especially easy. The full bathroom offers a relaxed atmosphere. The offering is rounded off by a useful, separate basement storage compartment providing additional space.
